Terms of service
The short, honest version.
Effective April 22, 2026. Governing law: Province of Ontario, Canada.
§ 1.The agreement
By creating an account you agree to these terms. "AutoMine Reviews", "we", or "us" refers to AutoMine Reviews, an Ontario-based service. "You" refers to the business and the individual creating the account on its behalf, who must have authority to bind that business.
§ 2.Acceptable use
- One business per account. Your Google Place ID is globally unique on our platform. Don't create duplicate accounts or share QR codes with businesses other than the one on your account.
- No fake customers. Our tool helps real customers express themselves — it isn't for inflating star ratings with people who never visited. Violations get your account suspended.
- No scraping, reverse-engineering, or automated scanning. Sessions are rate-limited per IP; scripted abuse will trigger abuse flags.
- Respect Google's review policies. Your customers own the review text they post — we provide drafts, not promises. If Google removes a review, that's between you and Google.
§ 3.Subscriptions & billing
- Trial. 14 days, 30 scans, 1 QR code, no credit card required.
- Pro. $89.90 CAD per year per location, billed annually through Stripe. Additional locations: +$89.90 CAD per year each.
- Refunds. Full refund within the first 30 days if you email us and ask. After that, we don't prorate or refund unused time.
- Failed payments. We attempt to renew automatically; on failure you get a seven-day grace period to update your billing info before access is paused.
- Price changes apply only at your next renewal. We email at least 30 days in advance.
§ 4.AI-generated drafts
The review suggestions are generated by a large language model (Anthropic's Claude) based on the star rating and your business details. They are drafts — the customer reviews, edits, and posts them themselves on Google. We don't guarantee any particular tone, quality, or that Google won't remove a review. Don't present AI drafts as something other than what they are.
§ 5.Account suspension
We may suspend or terminate an account that:
- Shows abuse patterns (high scan velocity from a single IP, multiple Place ID attempts, etc.)
- Violates Google's Terms of Service in a way that implicates our platform
- Is used to target another business's Place ID fraudulently
- Has an unresolved payment past the 7-day grace period
We'll email you first whenever practical. If you think we got it wrong, reply and we'll look again.
§ 6.Your data
How we handle personal data is covered in detail in our Privacy Policy. In short: we only collect what's needed to run the service, we don't sell data, and you can request deletion at any time.
§ 7.Warranty & liability
The service is provided "as is." We don't guarantee any specific outcome — reviews are influenced by a lot of factors outside our control (the weather, Google's algorithm, your staff on the day).
Our total liability to you in any 12-month period is capped at the amount you paid us in that period. This cap does not apply to liabilities that cannot be limited under Canadian consumer protection law.
§ 8.Changes
We may update these terms. If we make material changes, we'll email you at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the service means you accept the updated terms.
§ 9.Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. The courts of Ontario have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from this agreement.
§ 10.Contact
Questions, complaints, apologies, compliments: [email protected].
